Doula and Childbirth Educator

Sonoma County, California

My name is Magdalena, I am a birth and postpartum doula and childbirth educator serving Sonoma and Marin Counties. My inspiration for this path began after witnessing birth at a young age and knowing that supporting people through this profound time in their lives is my purpose.

I see my role as a doula as offering evidence-based information, sharing your options, and helping you connect with your intuition so you can make the choices that feel right for you and your family. I have attended over 40 births, including planned and unplanned cesareans, home births, unmedicated hospital births, epidural births, VBACs, twins, and more. What witnessing birth has taught me is that there is no single right way to give birth, only the way that is right for you and your baby.

Birth is unlike any other event in life. It can unfold just as you hoped, and it can also be hard, intense, and challenge you to make unexpected choices. It may be natural, physiologic and require little or no assistance to keep you and your baby well, or it may necessitate intervention to ensure safety. I have witnessed people have deeply positive births in every setting, even when birth looked wildly different than they imagined. What matters most is that you feel, and are, safe, that your voice is heard and respected, and that you are empowered with accurate information and supported in making intuitive choices.

I seek to meet individuals and families where they are and support them in having a safe and deeply satisfying birth experience, whatever that means for you.

As of March 2026, I have completed training with Body Ready Method® and intend to become certified late Spring 2026.

“Pregnancy, birth and postpartum recovery are no small feat! Both physically and mentally – this journey is a big one, yet very little guidance or support is typically given to support the expecting family. Outcomes in our modern medical complex are abysmal and we know that families deserve better. We believe that with the right support, we can shift the paradigm of how we prepare during pregnancy, how we adapt during birth and how we approach postpartum recovery. We know that for the best possible outcomes it takes a proactive, prehab approach to prime the body for birth (of all kinds) and recovery. What you do during pregnancy can have a massive impact on both birth and recovery – by optimizing the core and pelvic floor to be more responsive during pregnancy, postpartum recovery becomes much easier – however the baby arrives. That means less core and pelvic floor dysfunction, less aches and pains and less pregnancy and birthing injuries. The preparation of the body and mind during pregnancy is often underestimated, but sometimes things happen that are out of our control so being ready and knowledgeable can make a huge difference.

And if you’re planning a vaginal birth – the same principles also help stack the cards in your favor, taking control of the controllables of making birth more efficient!”

“Working with Maggie was the best decision I made for this pregnancy and I wish I had found her for my first! She is calm, patient, and intuitive. In what can be a chaotic time, she senses when to take the lead or step back. She’s a wonderful listener and helped create a birth plan that reflected my goals without judgment. Even as a second-time mom, I learned so much more due to her guidance. Maggie is deeply connected with many local hospitals and staff, and her communication was outstanding — she checked in regularly, followed up promptly, and was always reliable. Maggie truly loves her work, and it shines through everything she does. I would recommend her to anyone who is pregnant and would love to work with her again.”

“Maggie is a remarkable human being and Doula! With my planned C-section, I wasn’t sure how a doula would be able to support my experience. Before my son’s birth she provided a whole binder full of helpful resources and an easy template for creating a birthing plan. At the hospital before my surgery she was a wonderful advocate and made sure all my providers were on the same page. Her calming presence, along with the grounding exercises she lead, helped me go into my birth in the right headspace. In the post-op room she was there to help my baby boy get a good latch right away. Breastfeeding has been such a positive experience and I have Maggie to thank for that! I always looked forward to her visits as she is a true baby whisperer. Maggie was super supportive with tasks like nail trimming, pumping, bottle feeding, bathing, and holding the baby so I could tend to myself. I can’t recommend her highly enough!”

“Maggie is the sweetest soul and was the perfect addition to my postpartum experience. I have had a uniquely tough pregnancy and postpartum, and Maggie was the kindest and most supportive person to have by my side. She’s knowledgeable, passionate, and a down-to-earth doula. I felt immediately comfortable with her, and she was there for whatever I or my family needed. Highly recommend her and would use her again in a heartbeat. Thank you, Maggie!”

“I loved Maggie’s calming energy and how she ‘read the room.’ She was an absolute joy to be around and her energy was the healing presence I needed. Not only did she keep us well informed but she genuinely cared. The way she looked in our baby’s eyes let us know we found someone to share our sacred moment who genuinely loved us and the experience as a whole. It's not only her job — it’s her joy, and her passion shines through her movement. We will forever consider her family.”

“Maggie was incredible. I had a lot of anxiety leading up to my birth, and Maggie was available to talk me through my concerns. My vision was to have an unmedicated natural birth, and I knew that would be really taxing on my husband as the sole support person. When we got Maggie signed on to work with us, I was happy to know both my husband and I would have more support before, during, and after labor. My birth was extremely intense and more painful than I ever would have imagined. The position of the baby made everything much more difficult. After hours of labor at home and in the hospital, I felt defeated and ready to change my birth plan. When Maggie showed up, her calm presence and reassurance helped me push through without medication. She provided counter pressure for every single contraction and must have been exhausted! At the end of labor, complications arose, and she helped me remain as calm as possible. Although everything didn’t go as planned, she helped me accept that my birth was still beautiful. I’m excited to book her again for postpartum support as we navigate life as first-time parents.”

“We couldn't have had the birth we wanted without Maggie! I immediately resonated with her calm presence when I first met her. When I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes, she reassured me and sent helpful resources. During labor and delivery, she explained every option, advocated for what I wanted, and even came up with a breathing technique on the spot that immensely helped my pushing stage. My birth experience was better than I could have hoped for — we couldn’t have done it without her.”

“Having Magdalena as our postpartum doula has been an absolute blessing. From the very first day, she made sure that my family and I felt cared for and supported in exactly the ways we needed. She is incredibly kind, thoughtful, and knowledgeable, always offering gentle guidance and reassurance. As a first-time mama, the early weeks of motherhood have been a whirlwind, and her support has made such a difference. She has been coming to our home several times a week, helping with everything from cleaning, drying, and sanitizing pump parts to doing my daughter’s laundry — things that seem small but make a world of difference. Magdalena’s presence brings calm and comfort, allowing me to focus on bonding with my baby while knowing I have an extra set of loving, capable hands when I need them. We are so grateful to have found her and cannot recommend her enough.”

“Magdalena was truly a dream come true during my pregnancy and beyond. Without her, I would have felt very alone and unprepared for the challenges of labor and early motherhood. Her guidance was invaluable — connecting me with birthing, breastfeeding, and postpartum resources, and even prenatal acupuncture. She attended doctor’s appointments, accompanied me to the hospital multiple times, and supported me through every crucial moment. Her nurturing, loving support made me feel empowered and understood. She has continued to be a significant part of my journey as I navigate my daughter’s thyroid condition. Having Magdalena with me was exactly what I needed — her impact on my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience has been profound. Everyone should have a doula like her.”
